Responsibilities

This is a Per diem/Part time position. Shift varies and includes weekends.

The driver is responsible for providing safe transportation for clients to and from the facility from various locations, including their home or other medical facilities.

  • Complies with local traffic regulations.
  • Regulate heating, lighting, and ventilating systems for passenger comfort.
  • Reports delays or accidents.
  • Load or unloads baggage or express checked by passengers in baggage compartment.
  • Assist passengers to enter and leave car, and holds umbrellas in wet weather.
  • Performs miscellaneous errands such as store runs for patients, mail to and from post office.
  • Keep vehicle clean, polished, and in operating condition.
  • Complies with company dress code.
  • During all transports meets and greets all clients in a professional and polite demeanor.  Makes new clients feel welcomed and comfortable during trip.
  • Answers any questions that new clients may have during transport to help orientate them before arriving at facility. 
  • Complies with company’s drug free work environment. 

Qualifications

  • Must have a valid MA driver's license.
  • Previous transportation experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of addiction and chemical dependency.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age and have a clean driving record.
  • Minimum of a High School Diploma/GED or HiSet required. 

All positions require a TST, MMR Titer, and the ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and a CORI background records check
