Responsibilities

Job Summary

Administrates and supervises the daily management of the Outpatient treatment program, its patients, and staff. The Clinical Manager functions as a liaison between the Inpatient Clinical Director and clinical team as well as other departments, clients/patients, family, alumni, ancillary providers, licensure board personnel, community resources and referral sources. Responsible to ensure and provide effective patient care. Develops, implements, and oversees clinical curriculum and programming for all levels of care provided at the Outpatient facility, including the Family Program, recreational and other special treatment programming.

 

Duties and Responsibilities: to include but not limited to the following

  • Oversees day-to-day operations of the program in relation to clinical programming, staff schedules, case management, admissions, discharges, therapy and provision of ancillary services.
  • Ensures staff caseloads are adequately managed and clients are seen timely
  • Assures all clinical programming occurs timely and according to program schedule by appropriate staff
  • Monitors/Assures that all clinical treatment meets AAC standards of excellence
  • Provide clinical support for staff such as: de-escalation with patients, consultation regarding clinical issues
  • Demonstrates the ability to maintain positive interrelationships with multidisciplinary team members, family members and other resources
  • Participate in job interviews for Counselor & support staff positions
  • Ensure new hires achieve core competencies (trains staff on program policies and procedures and ensures consistent implementation of policies and procedures)
  • Coordinate internships
  • Facilitate team meetings
  • Provide behavioral health therapy/consults
  • Conduct random chart review to ensure compliance
  • Facilitate quality improvement initiatives
  • Assists in all staff ongoing training and development
  • Provides objective feedback to employees
  • Maintains clinical presence on units and assists counseling staff to manage any clinical issues
  • Participates in the Administrator on Call rotation
  • Ensures there is adequate staff coverage for all areas of responsibility for PTO, LOA, FMLA, etc.
  • Provides clinical services including assessment, individual therapy, treatment planning, and group facilitation as needed for coverage

Qualifications

Education/Experience:

  • Master’s Degree from an accredited University 
  • FL State Licensed (LMHC or LCSW)
  • Three years of experience working in addiction recovery environment
  • Leadership experience (preferred)
  • Knowledge of Licensing standards, clinical diagnosis utilizing DSM-IV criteria, treatment planning, ASAM criteria, building relationships with potential and existing ancillary resources in the community, clinical interviewing, and theories of counseling from multiple perspectives

Certificates and Licenses:

State licensure in good standing as:

  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker
  • Licensed Mental Health Counselor
