    Reports To: Facility Chief Executive Officer

    Responsibilities

    Job Duties:

    • Partners with CEO to help grow the business, monitor and implement strategies to improve related Average Daily Revenue (ADR), Average Daily Census (ADC), Length of Stay, and Contribution Margin
    • Leads efforts to ensure facility’s strategic initiatives are carried out through good practices and by meeting objectives
    • Implements strategies to monitor and improve quality of care, patient safety, and patient/referral satisfaction
    • Directs and provides guidance to Facility Business Office including patient financials and collections, insurance benefits, coordination of benefits, employment verification, and financial products designed to support additional patient financial obligations
    • Co-leads the local development and implementation of the purpose, vision, and mission of AAC including the assurance of safety and clinical excellence, an unwavering service culture, and strong financial results
    • Partners with CEO to prepare annual budget and execution of operating business plan
    • Facilitates development of long-term strategic plans, management structure, and objectives for facility management
    • Participates in the recruitment and retention of professional and nonprofessional staff
    • Resolves problems related to staffing, employee culture, and accountability to AAC’s mission
    • Analyzes, recommends and supports practices seeking to improve performance on quality measures to engage in work redesign, changes in organization systems, policies and procedures, and quality improvement process within the organization
    • Supports partnership and communication with AAC Call Center and Business Development team to ensure admission and transition processes are managed effectively and accurately
    • Performs direct supervision through use of performance competency process and scheduled supervision
    • Works directly with AAC’s CEO, CFO,, local HR, and VP of Human Capital to review and approve job requisitions as in accordance with AAC Labor Model
    • Participates in treatment program changes and developments, meets and confers with clinical team, utilization review, practitioners, and standing committees to formulate treatment policies and management of resources
    • Ensures continuous survey readiness and compliance to accreditation standards and requirements, federal, state, and local certifying and licensure bodies
    • Collaborate with Chief Clinical/Compliance Officer to plan clinical services, competent programming, and co-manage risk management issues
    • Supports CEO with daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual meetings as scheduled or required
    • Delegates authority and responsibility as appropriate; serves as acting CEO in his/her absence
    • Leads and completes special projects as directed by the Facility CEO

    Qualifications

    Job Requirements:

    • Master’s Degree in healthcare/business administration preferred
    • Five to seven years of senior-level operational management
    • Ability to interpret financial statements and enact strategies to achieve financial goals
    • Skillful leader with knowledge of fiscal management and human resource management techniques
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills with demonstrated ability to effectively lead in a changing environment
    • Knowledge of government regulations, accrediting bodies, payor requirements, and compliance requirements
    • Skilled in exercising initiative, judgement, problem-solving, and decision-making in fast-paced, high-stress environments
    • Ability to manage and supervise various positions and relate well to people from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds as well as have a passion for working with at-risk, cultural and socioeconomically diverse populations
    • Ability to anticipate, and react calmly, and lead others in crises and emergency situations
    • Ability to interpret financial statements and enact strategies to achieve financial goals
