Responsibilities

Job Summary

Responsible for the day-to-day administration of clinical programming, The Clinical Manager functions as a liaison between the Executive Director, Clinical Director and clinical team as well as other departments, clients/patients, family, alumni, ancillary providers, licensure board personnel, community resources and referral sources.  Provides daily supervision of regulatory requirements of Primary Mental Health (PMH) clinical team of therapist(s), case manager(s), and documented services of ancillary or contracted providers.   Is responsible for hiring, staff development, and termination of all PMH clinical team members with coordinated efforts of the Human Resources department within the facility.  Develops, implements, and oversees PMH clinical curriculum and programming for all levels of care provided at the facility.  Acts as coverage for the clinical director in their absence.  Assists to train the Treatment Advocate, nursing, and provider teams working with the PMH population. 

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversees day-to-day operations of the program in relation to PMH clinical programming, staff schedules, case management, admissions, discharges, therapy and provision of ancillary services.
  • Oversees and ensures quality assurance standards for all said activities as required by state regulations for the level of care provided.
  • Will hire, evaluate, and supervise all PMH clinical staff for the clinical programs.
  • Directly assists clinical staff with training/education and skills to promote de-escalation skills, support client acquisition of treatment skills and prevent AMA’s and early discharges
  • Trains all supervised staff on program policies and procedures and ensures consistent implementation of policies and procedures
  • Assists in all staff ongoing training and development.
  • Will be responsible for supervision of the PMH clinical and case management team through in person supervision, report generation and audit functions and report to the clinical director the outcomes of the findings.
  • Facilitate Treatment Team meetings with a multi-disciplinary team to review the treatment needs, assessments, goals, progress, and aftercare planning.
  • Meet identified key performance metrics for the PMH program
  • Facilitate treatment services, groups, assessments, treatment planning, individual sessions and ensuring with the PMH team that all treatment services are complete within the workflow as prescribed.
  • Ensures there is adequate staff coverage for all areas of responsibility for PTO, LOA, FMLA, etc.
  • Analyzes long-range planning needs
  • Responsible and accountable for managing direct reports
  • Preparation and presentation of performance evaluations
  • Provides objective feedback to employees
  • Provides appropriate training for department and hold staff accountable for attending required training
  • Holds interviews for vacant positions and makes appropriate selects candidates to fill open positions
  • Monitors adherence to company and department policies, procedures and practices
  • Creates and supports a positive, professional, team-oriented, harassment free work environment by understanding and complying with the company’s policies
  • Regular and consistent attendance is expected
  • Other Duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education/ Experience:

  • Master's Degree in a related field required.
  • Unrestricted Florida license (such as LMHC, LMFT, LCSW, etc.)
  • Five years’ experience in a mental health or behavioral health setting.
  • Knowledge of Licensing standards, clinical diagnosis utilizing DSM-V criteria, treatment planning, building relationships with potential and existing ancillary resources in the community, clinical interviewing, and theories of counseling from multiple perspectives including but not limited to: Dialectic Behavior Therapy, trauma treatments, family systems, cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, and client-centered.
  • Ability to read and interpret written information; write clearly and informatively; edits work for spelling and grammar. Ability to speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listens and gets clarification; responds well to questions; demonstrates group presentation skills; and participates in meetings.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Google Enterprise equivalents.

Certifications and Licenses:

  • Unrestricted Florida license (such as LMHC, LMFT, LCSW, etc.)
  • Appropriate Crisis Prevention certification

Other Work Requirements:

Expected Hours of work (Full-Time/Part Time, Day Time 8a-5p)
