Responsibilities

Job Summary

The Director of Revenue Cycle oversees all revenue cycle functions related to AdCare Hospital including accurate billing, coding and collections while ensuring compliance with federal, state and payor rules and regulations.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage RCM processes including patient registration, insurance verification, charge capture, coding, billing, claims processing and collections.
  • Lead and supervise staff within the RCM department including training and performance management.
  • Implement policies and procedures to improve RCM performance, reduce denials, minimize bad debt, and optimize cash flow.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations, payor policies and industry standards.
  • Monitors key performance indicators (KPIs) like claim denial rates, days in accounts receivable and cash collections to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement processes and workflows to streamline workflows, enhance efficiency and reduce errors.
  • Collaborate with various departments (e.g. clinical, finance, compliance) and payors to ensure effective revenue cycle management.
  • Other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education/ Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration, or equivalent/related field. (preferred)
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with inpatient healthcare facilities including a high volume of patients with Medicare and Medicaid.
  • Ability to identify and resolve complex issues related to the revenue cycle.
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHRs) and revenue cycle management software.
  • Experience working with inpatient mental health facilities preferably specializing in SUD treatment.

  • Responsible for leading and coaching a team
  • Oversees the daily workflow of the department
  • Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations

Other Work Requirements:

  • Expected Hours of work: Full-time, Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week
