The organization is in a phase of strategic expansion and seeks to unify its growth infrastructure to drive efficient, scalable, and measurable outcomes.

 

Position Summary

American Addiction Centers (AAC) is seeking a strategic, execution-driven Chief Growth Officer to lead and integrate the organization’s marketing, business development, and call center strategy and operations. This executive will drive growth initiatives across the full patient funnel and align strategy across digital performance, community outreach, and centralized intake.

 

The Chief Growth Officer will be a member of the executive team, reporting directly to the CEOs, and responsible for overall census growth across AAC’s 7+ facilities. The CGO will work closely with the VP of Digital Marketing, VP of Business Development and VP of Admissions, ensuring cross-functional collaboration and accountability of shared KPIs. This role requires a data-driven leader with deep experience in full-funnel growth and transformation.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership & Execution

  • Develop and lead the integrated growth strategy across marketing, business development, and call center to increase effectiveness and productivity of functions.
  • Drive alignment and continuous feedback between digital marketing, community messaging, and intake operations to ensure a seamless patient experience.
  • Regularly present to executive leadership and Board on initiatives and progress towards growth goals.

Functional Oversight

  • Directly oversee:
    • VP of Digital Marketing and agency partnerships, focusing on lead generation, content marketing, organic and SEO performance.
    • VP of Business Development, focusing on referral growth, partnerships, and facility-level census needs.
    • VP of Admissions, ensuring efficient lead handling, process optimization, and alignment with marketing and BD pipelines.
  • Lead monthly cross-functional reviews to align performance across teams.
  • Together with CFO, establish functional budgets and maintain monthly admission forecast.
  • Support hiring, coaching, and performance development of leaders and their teams.

Performance Management & Optimization

  • Own top-line KPIs across:
    • Marketing: Lead volume & quality, CPA, SEO & keyword rankings, lead conversion
    • Business Development: Referral growth, outreach activities
    • Call Center: Call volume, agent utilization, opportunity conversion, first-time call resolution
    • Overall: Admissions volume and revenue, average daily census
  • Hold weekly performance reviews with functional leaders, solutioning for roadblocks and setting action items to drive growth.
  • Ensure shared accountability across departments with unified dashboards and reporting.
  • Leverage data to optimize performance and adjust strategies to meet enterprise goals.

Partnerships & External Coordination

  • Manage performance and accountability of outsourced vendors, including digital marketing agency.
  • Identify and develop opportunities for strategic partnerships with community partners to grow referral volume.
  • Coordinate with clinical and facility teams to adjust strategy based on census needs, changes in payor mix or accepted conditions.

Systems & Workflow Integration

  • Ensure seamless integration of marketing, Salesforce, CallRail, Five9, and PowerBI to support operational execution and performance tracking.
  • Partner with IT and Sales Operations to maintain integrity of growth KPIs and dashboards.

Qualifications

Education/Experience:

  • 15+ years of experience in growth / patient acquisition, marketing, or operations leadership roles, ideally in healthcare service or behavioral health industries.
  • Deep understanding of healthcare delivery systems, behavioral health service lines, and payer/provider dynamics.
  • Proven ability to scale performance marketing, business development teams, and admissions.
  • Strong understanding of CRM systems (Salesforce), call center platforms (Five9 and CallRail), and web analytics (GA4).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams with accountability and shared KPIs.
  • Data and performance driven decision-maker with strong business acumen.
