Job Summary:


The Director of Sober Living will have oversight of the entire clinical program at the hotel and sober living houses and be on-call 27/7 to give guidance to staff and to handle any client issue.


Reports To: Facility CEO


Job Duties:

  • Provide clinical and administrative supervision to BHTs
  • Intervenes as needed, clinically with clients in situations such as:  crisis, AMA risk, and special needs
  • On call 24/7 for clinical emergencies and consultations
  • Communicate with client ROIs as needed
  • Work directly with CEO, Hotel Manager, IOP Director, and Greenhouse Residential Director
  • Attend meetings as required
  • Facilitate communication to ensure efficient interdepartmental communication
  • Reviews staff communication and shift logs for treatment implications
  • Coordinate with CEO and other management team members to ensure compliance with state licensing and regulatory standards
  • Provide and facilitate quality assessment and improvement training, and staff development for direct reports
  • In partnership with the CEO, develops, coordinates, and maintains clinical program policies and procedures, and modifies as necessary overall program parameters
  • Participates in quality assurance and utilization review activities as directed by the Facility CEO
  • Inform CEO of issues relating to staff or client issues
  • Responsible and accountable for managing direct reports
  • Preparation and presentation of performance evaluations
  • Provides objective feedback to employees
  • Makes appropriate compensation recommendations, if applicable
  • Provides appropriate training for department and hold staff accountable for attending required training
  • Holds interviews for vacant positions and makes appropriately selects candidates to fill open positions
  • Responsible for recommending and ensuring regulatory staffing patterns & managing annual budget
  • Monitors adherence to company and department policies, procedures and practices
  • Creates and supports a positive, professional, team-oriented, harassment free work environment by understanding and complying with the company’s policies


Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • At least 5 years of experience working in substance abuse and co-occurring disorders
  • At least 5 years’ experience in sober living management
  • At least 5 years’ staff management/supervisory experience
  • Customer service driven with a genuine interest in the well-being of those we serve
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • If in personal recovery, a minimum of 2 years clean and sober
