    Job Summary:

     

    Outpatient Director oversees the operations and clinical functions of the facility, including: clinical management, clinical policies and procedures, medical records, patient care information systems, quality management, staff credentialing, and billing operations.  This position is a role model for the “I CARE” values and embraces “Believable Hope”.   

     

    Reports To: Facility CEO

    Responsibilities

    Job Duties:

    • Oversees clinical admission, including admission assessment and preliminary treatment plan.
    • Intervenes as needed, clinically with clients in situations such as:  Crisis, crisis intervention, AMA risk, and special needs.
    • On call 24/7 for clinical emergencies and consultations.
    • Oversee the timely completion of clinical documentation per AAC protocols.
    • Coordinates programs that enhance Outpatient services.
    • Provides information necessary to facilitate third party reimbursement.
    • Provides clinical and administrative supervision of OP staff. 
    • Facilitates all administrative, operations, clinical, and program staff to assure effective communication and coordination of center’s functions. 
    • Facilitate and development of communication measures to ensure efficient interdepartmental communication.  
    • Reviews client records for quality of treatment documentation and planning.
    • Reviews staff communication and shift logs for treatment implications.
    • Coordinates with Facility CEO and other team members to monitor and ensure compliance with State licensing and regulatory standards.
    • Provides and facilitates quality assessment and improvement training, and staff development for direct reports.
    • In partnership with the CEO, develops, coordinates, and maintains clinical program policies and procedures, and modifies as necessary overall program parameters.
    • Participates in quality assurance and utilization review activities as directed by the Facility CEO.
    • Informs Facility CEO of issues relating to staff issues.
    • Responsible and accountable for managing direct reports
    • Preparation and presentation of performance evaluations
    • Provides objective feedback to employees
    • Makes appropriate compensation recommendations, if applicable
    • Provides appropriate training for department and hold staff accountable for attending required training
    • Holds interviews for vacant positions and makes appropriately selects candidates to fill open positions
    • Responsible for recommending and ensuring regulatory staffing patterns & managing annual budget.
    • Monitors adherence to company and department policies, procedures and practices
    • Creates and supports a positive, professional, team-oriented, harassment free work environment by understanding and complying with the company’s policies
    • Serves as member of Management Team.
    • Coordinates OP services with UR, HR, Lab Services, Residential, Sober Living & Resolutions, and QA Departments, if available.
    • Provides Consultation and training as requested by CEO

    Qualifications

    Job Requirements:

    • Master’s Degree.
    • Licensed to provide direct services (LCDC/LPC/LMSW).
    • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a behavioral healthcare field and supervision in an outpatient, residential or hospital settings.
    • Thorough knowledge of management principles, clinical systems and operations, billing and collections, quality assurance, and regulatory/accreditation agency requirements.
    • Ability to read and interpret written information; write clearly and informatively; edits work for spelling and grammar. Ability to speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listens and gets clarification; responds well to questions; demonstrates group presentation skills; and participates in meetings.
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
    • If in personal recovery, a minimum of 2 years clean and sober.
