    Job Summary:

     

    The Sunrise House Receptionist is a responsible and highly skilled administrative assistance and receptionist, which requires attention to detail and a willingness to assist the daily operations in all applicable methods and practices.  The responsibilities of this position require the use of tact and initiative to obtain and relay information and to ensure that operations occur in accordance with work instructions, accepted practices, established policies and procedures, and applicable regulations and standards.  Could be exposed to highly confidential information which requires use of discretion.

     

    Reports to : Director of Human Resources

    Responsibilities

    Job Duties:

    • Answers all in coming telephone calls during normal business hours, then directs call to appropriate individual or provide other assistance required to caller
    • Greets arriving patients, visitors or guest having appointments or other business to conduct with Sunrise House
    • Directs all arriving patients, visitors, or guest to appropriate destinations and/or staff members
    • Responsible to sort and place in appropriate mail boxes all incoming mail
    • Responsible for tagging/logging in of all luggage, packages or articles brought in to Sunrise House for patients and placing in appropriate destinations
    • Responsible for signing in all patients, visitors or guests
    • Responsible for coordinating pages for patient appointments
    • Clerical work as needed
    • Responsible to keep VIP Room and Reception area clean and orderly
    • Order supplies as needed
    • Other duties assigned in the scope of the job title

    Qualifications

    Job Responsibilties:

    • High School Diploma required, Bachelor's Degree preferred.
    • Ability to read and interpret written information; write clearly and informatively; edits work for spelling and grammar. Ability to speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listens and gets clarification; responds well to questions; demonstrates group presentation skills; and participates in meetings.
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
    • Ability to be capable of dealing with the possible frustrations involved in working within an agency that services individuals recovering from drug and alcohol addictions, who may experience mental health issues.
    • Must be able to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and flexible hours.
    • If in personal recovery, a minimum of 2 years clean and sober.
