    American Addiction Center is searching for a Vice President of Engineering. In this role, the successful candidate will set the strategy, goals, and objectives for the Engineering team to achieve aggressive product, business, and financial growth objectives. We are seeking a candidate with a strong understanding of product team performance, SAAS, Dev Ops and Market Technology infrastructure. Strategic, technical vision, strong leadership, forward thinking and strong business acumen are essential in this role.

    Responsibilities

     

    • Lead a talented engineering team and direct engineering, data center operations, and product delivery efforts.
    • Define the strategy, direction and manage the execution for all things engineering, including product engineering and processes, cloud deployment strategies, core system architecture, as well as product operations.
    • Non-dogmatic to specific languages or technologies but instead leverage your experience and leadership to transform existing infrastructure to drive consistency and efficiency through your strategies and management
    • Balance a high quality, high output engineering mindset with the demands of a high growth enterprise Product oriented business
    • Providing overall strategy and technology direction for the development of applications and communication infrastructure supporting the Company’s solutions
    • Strategic planning for all product development efforts to include the subsequent testing, release and production environment needs; as well as the overall architecture of our products and support infrastructure including day-to-day operations
    • Overseeing all activities of the development groups (Full stack developers, QA, dev ops, and application release)
    • Supporting the development of the Company’s product roadmap
    • Ensuring timelines and processes are met by working with the PPMO office and creating process to ensure quality while maintaining deadlines.
    • Establishing departmental goals, objectives, and operating procedures
    • Staying abreast of new technologies and issues in the software-as-a-service industry, including current technologies, platforms, standards and methodologies
    • Defining and communicating corporate plans, policies, and standards for the organization for acquiring, implementing, and designing new software products
    • Recruiting, managing and continuously developing through leadership and collaborative team building a high caliber team of technology professionals
    • Being actively engaged in technology standard settings boards and organizations that may impact the Company and its offerings
    • Being an active spokesperson and evangelist both internally and externally by communicating and promoting the Company’s technology vision and solutions
    • Owning the operating budget and maximizing resources through Identifying the best usage of a combination of internal talent, agencies, and off shore technical resources.
    • Ensuring the knowledge sharing and documentation of engineering best practices; and developing and monitoring technical standards to ensure adherence to them

    Qualifications

     

    • BS/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or related major or equivalent combination of education and experience; graduate degree in one of these fields is a plus
    • Proven experience in a technology leadership position
    • Proven track record of managing multiple properties and of using technology to grow the business and bottom line.
    • Experience and proven leadership in an Agile work environment
    • Thorough knowledge of engineering principles/practices, automated testing, global data center deployments, security and privacy, product management
    • Keen business acumen and proven executive management abilities based on prior experience.
    • Forthright and a team player who is an active member of a high-performance management team.
    • Effective communicator at all levels from C-suite to Junior Developer
