    Job Summary:

    The Technical Project Manager is responsible for tracking and stabilizing projects, removing roadblocks, and anticipating customer needs to ensure that our cross-functional teams can proactively solve problems within a stable environment. This position requires a combination of project management, process optimization, and execution.  The Technical Project Manager is responsible for supporting and executing the efforts of the Portfolio & Project Management Office by aligning with AAC’s strategic goals and vision. Success in this role, and this process, will provide the following benefits:

    • Improved collaboration and communication across internal and external project teams


    Reports To: Director of Portfolio & Management Office  


    Job Duties:

    • Work with Portfolio & Project Management Office (PPMO) to ensure projects are prioritized and aligned with business objectives
    • Provide end-to-end project management for complex application and web development projects which include requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and implementation of technology solutions
    • Work collaboratively with business partners and team members to define technology solutions that will improve the business
    • Coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, including cross-team projects
    • Proactively manage schedule and scope changes, identify potential risks, and create contingency plans
    • Serve as escalation point for internal and external issues
    • Support our developers, designers, business analysts, and QA analysts by streamlining our workflows and reducing friction so that we can efficiently create and release quality code and new products
    • Lead team planning sessions and scrum meetings, as needed
    • Provide Atlassian administration support, as needed
    • Provide direct project management oversight on projects that fall outside of the technical teams if there are project manager resource constraints


    Job Requirements:

    • BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related discipline
    • 3-5 years of project management experience in software development or product centric role
    • Experience with various project management methodologies (Agile/Scrum, etc.) and Atlassian products (Jira/Confluence)
    • Experience with mid to large scale enterprise solutions, with proven success implementing a multi-million dollar project strongly desired
    • Experience working with single page web applications driven by custom built APIs, React and Redux, PHP with Symfony, and Go
    • Able to adapt to rapidly changing business requirements and deadlines, while operating at a strategic level with all members of the project teams
    • Natural, clear communicator with a humble and direct approach to project management
    • Meticulous attention to detail, including maintaining accurate records and diligently tracking key project metrics
    • Enthusiasm for working with customers and supporting internal projects and senior leadership, bringing order and efficiency to critical internal initiatives
    • Candidates in recovery must have 2+ years of sobriety
