    Responsibilities

    Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities 

     

    Functions independently to perform history and physicals for patient population

    Orders and interprets diagnostic and therapeutic tests relative to patient’s needs

    Prescribes appropriate pharmacologic, non-pharmacologic and psychotropic medications

    Monitors the effectiveness of interventions

    Facilitates the patient’s transition within and between healthcare settings, e.g. admitting, transferring, and discharging patients

    Collaborates with multidisciplinary team members by making appropriate referrals

    Facilitates staff, patient, and family decision making by providing educational tools

     

    Qualifications

    EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE SKILLS & ABILITIES

    • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program.
    • Licensed as a Nurse Practitioner
    • One year of experience as a nurse practitioner preferred.
    • 3 of addiction and/or mental health experience preferred.
    • Current Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) Licensure.
    • Current CNOR/CRNFA (if applicable) certification.
    • Preferred current provider card in Basic Life Support (BLS)
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
    • If in personal recovery, a minimum of 2 years sustained recovery

     

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    • Ability to sit, use hands and fingers, talk or hear, and smell continually. Ability to stand, walk and reach frequently. Ability to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch occasionally.
    • Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 10 lbs. and occasionally lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
    • Close vision required to see computer monitor, read documents, and operate copy and fax machine. Distance vision required to drive an automobile, if driving is a requirement of the job.
    • Work environment is indoors and climate controlled. Occasionally exposed to outdoor weather conditions.
    • Moderate noise levels as found in a business office with computer printers, households with TVs and dishwashers, and driving light traffic.
