    Responsibilities

    Job Duties:

    • Ensures all physical assets and mechanical systems are maintained, repaired and serviced as needed
    • Ensures all cleaning assignments are completed in a timely manner and according to vendor guidelines.
    • Maintains building temperatures in the appropriate range, responding to patient issues
    • Maintains cleaning and maintenance supplies, resources, and tools as needed
    • Ensure timely response to all facility maintenance requests and pages
    • Assists with enhancements and renovations to current facilities
    • Maintains  relationships with customers and lead staff
    • Complies with all regulatory environmental / life safety standards , DOH, DHS, CARF, NJ state, JCAHO
    • Coordinate moving of office, furniture, and facilities
    • Maintains vendor deliveries and relations
    • Complete work orders in timely manner
    • Conducts boiler room rounds according to NJ Bureau of Vessel code.
    • Reports any issues to manager regarding life safety codes, patient issues.
    • Responds and participates in facility events to maintain health and safety codes, for example winter snow storms.
    • Maintains floor tech work assignments according to state codes.
    • Maintains all equipment falling under the responsibility of the Maintenance Department.
    • Handles work orders for repair and replacement are handled promptly.
    • Maintains appropriate levels of safety and sanitation and the aesthetic appearance of the facility.
    • Able to operate the life safety fire detection system and act as Fire Marshall.
    • Painting.
    • Clean and shampoo carpets.
    • Custodial duties.
    • Maintain driveways and walkways in inclement weather.
    • Operates utility systems.
    • Minor plumbing repairs.
    • Compliance with all Sunrise House Policies and Procedures.
    • Proper storage of all equipment used in facility maintenance projects.
    • Completes work orders in a timely manner.
    • Supports and promotes and environment of Customer Service.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

     Job Requirements:

    • Must have experience and skills in maintaining plumbing, HVAC, electrical, painting, and general maintenance of commercial property.
    • Black Seal Licence required
    • Ability to read and interpret written information; write clearly and informatively; edits work for spelling and grammar. Ability to speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listens and gets clarification; responds well to questions; demonstrates group presentation skills; and participates in meetings.
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
    • If in personal recovery, a minimum of 2 years clean and sober.
    • High School Diploma required, Bachelor's Degree preferred.
