Job Summary

Administrates and supervises the daily management of the treatment milieu, its patients and staff.  Responsible to ensure and provide safe and effective patient care.  Assures all policy, administrative and regulatory compliance. 

Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities: to include but not limited to the following

  • Oversees the day-to-day oversight of the Treatment Advocate and Program Supervisor teams.
  • Provide clinical supervision for staff such as: de-escalation with patients, consultation regarding clinical issues
  • Demonstrates the ability to maintain positive interrelationships with multidisciplinary team members, family members and other resources
  • Conduct initial job interviews for Treatment Advocate positions. Complete performance evaluations in a timely manner
  • Coordinate internships working in concert with facility Human Resources
  • Work closely with facility nursing leadership to stay apprised of issues on the units and assist to manage any behavioral issues
  • Directly assists clinical staff with training/education and skills to present AMA’s/early discharges
  • Trains all supervised staff on program policies and procedures and ensures consistent implementation of policies and procedures
  • Assists in all staff ongoing training and development.
  • Facilitate quality improvement initiatives
  • Maintains clinical presence on units and assists counseling staff to manage any clinical issues
  • Keep Clinical Director and Assistant Clinical Director apprised of situations within the facility
  • Analyzes long-range planning needs
  • Responsible and accountable for managing direct reports
  • Preparation and presentation of performance evaluations
  • Provides objective feedback to employees
  • Makes appropriate compensation recommendations, if applicable
  • Provides appropriate training for department and hold staff accountable for attending required training
  • Ensures there is adequate staff coverage for all areas of responsibility for PTO, LOA, FMLA, etc.
  • Responsible for recommending and ensuring regulatory staffing patterns & managing annual budget.
  • Monitors adherence to company and department policies, procedures and practices

Qualifications

Education/Experience:

  • Master’s Degree (required)
  • Licensed (LMSW, LCSW, LPC, LPCI, LCDC) (preferred)
  • Experience working in addiction recovery environment
  • Leadership experience
