Responsibilities

Job Summary

The Benefit/Case manager is responsible for assuring authorization for treatment of our outpatient clients. The position provides direct coordination with the patient's medical record and clinician to assure an expedient, cost effective application of services and benefits.

Qualifications

Education/ Experience

  • BA in Counseling, Psychology or Social Work, MSW or equivalent training and experience preferred.
  • Licensure in Human Services and/or Certificate of Training in Benefit Management preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to organize, manage and review appropriate treatment.
  • Familiarity with insurance benefits and national levels of criteria of care.
  • Must have strong organizational and computer skills.
  • Ability to manage a database, enter, extract and analyze data.
  • Previous Benefit management experience and thorough knowledge and understanding of Substance Abuse Treatment preferred.
