Position Summary:


Under general supervision this position will participate in the installation/building and/or supporting the EMR; analyze, test, troubleshoot and maintain installed systems and support users.  Assists with the management of customer expectations and customer interactions with the system(s) and participates in team quality management initiatives. Will provide guidance and advise others within the IT team


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Competent to work on medium to complex system configuration issues with minimal support from Evident except when Evident is required to be engaged. Provides technical guidance leadership to ensure proper issue resolution.
  •  Participates in the development of application specifications with the facilitation of design, documentation and development of detailed specifications.
  •  Manage customer expectations and customer interaction process. Gathers and analyzes customer requirements and expectations. Assesses customer level of satisfaction and addresses customer issues in an effective and timely manner. Informs customers of changing risks and other challenges. Drives customer re-evaluation/feedback of needs and expectations and assists in evaluating whether the technology solution can meet the needs of the individual and systems.           
  • Able to troubleshoot and analyze medium to complex problems and research solutions. Communicates technical solutions and implementation processes.             
  • Provides onsite end user support as needed. Assesses workflow processes. Acts as a liaison between groups.
  •  Performs defined application maintenance. Conducts investigations into data/application irregularities.           
  • Manages/maintains system interfaces.       
  • Apply fundamental industry best practices and supports Evident standards across the system.
  • Build and maintain the application knowledge base of documentation by developing manuals, policies and procedures; ensures that information is always up to date.
  • Identifies and escalates service and quality issues regarding vendor services.
  • Relates well to all kinds of people, internally and externally; builds appropriate rapport; builds constructive and effective relationships; uses diplomacy and tact; can diffuse even high-tension situations comfortably.


Education/ Experience:

  • Knowledge of healthcare information technology at a level normally acquired through 5 plus years’ experience or the completion of a BA degree with a concentration in business, computer science, healthcare or the equivalent experience. 
  • Experience with implementing and/or supporting clinical information systems preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience deploying and supporting applications in a healthcare setting preferred.  
  • Ability to effectively communicate to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to develop and facilitate the teaching of detailed instructions. 
  • Knowledge of network, server, database and messaging technologies. 
  • High proficiency level and ability to train desktop applications and EMR applications.
  • Relates well to a variety of people; builds appropriate rapport; builds constructive and effective relationships; uses diplomacy and tact; can diffuse even high tension situations comfortably.
