Responsibilities

Job Summary

Under general supervision candidate is responsible for timely submissions of accurate insurance claims to all assigned third-party payers as well as subsequent timely follow-up and appeals. Ability to comprehend varied insurance documentation, analyze and reconcile accounts and follow detailed procedures in an organized and efficient manner.

Qualifications

Education/ Experience:

  • Minimum one year experience with Patient Accounts.
  • Must be computer literate (knowledge of Microsoft Office), and able to work in a fast paced environment while being self-directed.
  • Strong detail to attention is a must.
  • Experience with insurance provider websites, billing software, and knowledge of processing online claims preferred.
  • In-patient hospital experience required, substance abuse facility experience preferred.

  • Ability to sit, use hands and fingers, talk or hear, and smell continually.  Ability to stand, walk and reach frequently. Ability to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch occasionally.
  • Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 10 lbs. and occasionally lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Close vision required to see computer monitor, read documents, and operate copy and fax machine. 
  • Work environment is indoors and climate controlled.
