Job Summary

Per Diem position, including some weekend coverage, under the general supervision of our physicians, will provide medical support to inpatients undergoing detoxification, or rehabilitation (after detoxification). Duties will include:

  • Clinical unit rounds and medication management of assigned patients.
  • Responsible for accurate assessment of clinical conditions by integrating detailed patient histories, physical exam, interpretation of laboratory data and clinical knowledge.
  • Responsible for the completion of medication orders and daily progress notes through the EMR system in a timely and complete manner.
  • Order diagnostic tests as necessary.
  • Educate patients on test findings, physical condition and medication.
  • Additional optional opportunity to provide Medication Assisted Treatment in office setting.
  • Although prior experience with substance use disorders and/or alcohol use disorder is valuable, it is not required. Training will be provided; supportive team atmosphere.



NP: A qualified candidate possesses a valid Massachusetts RN license; has graduated from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program and licensed by the Commonwealth of Mass Board of Registration in Nursing.

PA: A qualified candidate possesses a Bachelor's Degree; has graduated from a Physician Assistant program approved by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant, Inc (ARC-PA); has passed the National Commission for Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) examination.
