Responsibilities

Job Summary

Per Diem Position.  One day a week (6:30a-12:30p) and every other weekend.  Medical Technologist to perform biomedical analysis and blood draws when needed.  

 

Duties and Responsibilities: to include but not limited to the following

  • MLT or MT certification preferred or ASCP Eligible

  • Ability to operate diagnostic testing equipment such as, a centrifuge, blood analyzers, microscope and/or specialized laboratory equipment specific to the assigned laboratory area. 

  • Works with considerable independence to perform and interpret various tests. 

  • Ability to handle potentially infectious materials, such as blood and body fluid specimens while observing proper safety regulations. 

  • Ability to collect blood specimens by venipuncture from patients.  

Qualifications

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelors Degree or a minimum completion of two years at an accredited college or university which includes course work in Chemistry or Biology. 
  • Additional training or current membership in an accredited program in Medical Technology is preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret written information; write clearly and informatively; edits work for spelling and grammar. Ability to speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listens and gets clarification; responds well to questions; demonstrates group presentation skills; and participates in meetings.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • If in personal recovery, a minimum of 2 years clean and sober.
  • Minimum of two years experience required.
